All-Optical Network in the Intelligent Era
Description:
In the AI Era, optical networks need to be upgraded to AI-Optical Network (AI-ON), this includes AI-OTN and AI-FAN solutions, which support to build all-optical networks and realize the vision of “Network for AI”, while introducing AI capabilities into devices to implement “AI for Network” .
Session1: AlDC
Session 1 of this industry forum aims to explore AI-driven data centers (AI-DCs) , which serves as the cornerstone of next-generation intelligent applications in the era of rapid advancements in artificial intelligence and digital transformation. Here, we establish a global platform for in-depth discussions among academia and industry leaders, focusing on the cutting-edge trends and practical challenges in the AI-DC domains. OCS offers flexible and efficient optical-layer scheduling, while hollow-core fibers, with their advantages of ultra-low latency and nonlinear suppression, are reshaping the limits of transmission. The related topics will be discussed in this session.

Session2: AI-FAN
Session 2 of this industry forum focuses on the AI-driven fiber access network(AI-FAN), where the latest generation of PON has already started to the deployment stage. It is widely discussed that the next generation of PON should not only pursue the higher data rate and lower latency, but also integrate with AI for better experiences and more instant services. It means the in-premises network should be tightly incorporated with the next generation of PON, driven by AI utilization, to provide premium quality of service for the customers. Here, we mainly discuss the key technologies of AI-FAN, and explore new opportunities in optical access networks.
